It’s hard to believe that this has been my last weekend at home before The Big Trip. This time next week, I’ll have had a weekend in Paris under my belt (literally…we will eat all round us and my belt may strain) and will be reuniting with Brussels and my love for a few days. It will be interesting to be back in Brussels after so many changes have taken place during my absence.
That is all in the future. This Sunday was sedate and can be easily summed up as follows: breakfast and tea, walk with the dogs, tea and scones, tidy up, lunch (egg, tea and scones), nap, beans on toast and tea.
Grace took some beautiful photos on our walk, risking life and phone in doing so, as the dogs expect us to throw everything for them. Buster and Omar are the water babies, while Amber and Elle prefer to rustle around on the riverbank. Somehow, they all managed to miss a mink running into the water, a sight that left Mom momentarily speechless, which is some feat.
In case you were wondering, Grace and I are both wearing animal print wellingtons and yes, both pairs are mine.
